Freedom Campus - Independent Learning

Curriculum Development Refers to the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 3 of 2020 on "Freedom Campus - Independent Learning"

Freedom Campus is an independent learning concept in higher education issued by the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim. The essential aspect of this concept is to provide freedom and autonomy to educational institutions and give students the liberty to choose the field they prefer.

Through "Independent Learning - Freedom Campus," students have the opportunity to study outside their study program for 1 (one) semester or equivalent to 20 (twenty) credits at the same campus or university; and up to 2 (two) semesters or equivalent to 40 (forty) credits in the same study program at a different university, a different study program at a different university; and/or outside the university.

Students are now being prepared to become agile learners. This Independent Learning policy stipulates that the fulfillment of study periods and learning loads for undergraduate or applied undergraduate students can be carried out by: 1) participating in all learning processes in the study program at the university based on the study period and learning load; and 2) participating in the learning process in the study program to fulfill part of the study period and learning load and the rest participating in the learning process outside the study program.
